CHAINSAW OPERATOR MAINTENANCE AND CROSS CUT TRAINING PROGRAMME

Welcome to the Chainsaw Operator Training Programme. This course is designed to provide learners with the essential knowledge required to safely operate a chainsaw in accordance with Irish health and safety legislation and recognised industry best practice. The programme covers legal responsibilities, hazard awareness, equipment safety features, maintenance checks, personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency procedures, and safe cutting techniques including cross-cutting, tension cutting, and compression cutting.

This course is divided into four key sections:

Each section builds your understanding progressively and prepares you for both your theory examination and practical skills assessment.
